HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, organized a rally to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day as part of its ongoing Independence Day commemorative events, expressing solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The rally was led by Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah. It commenced from University’s Academic Block and concluded at the Administration Block. A large number of faculty members, students, officers, employees and security personnel participated in the event, carrying banners and placards to demonstrate their solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Madad Ali Shah said that Kashmir Exploitation Day serves as a reminder of the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their rights and reaffirms solidarity with them.
He said that Pakistan has consistently supported, and would continue to support, the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
VC urged international community to fulfil its responsibilities by working towards a just and lasting resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of United Nations.
Other speakers, including Professor Dr Liaquat Ali Zardari, Professor Dr Muhammad Afzal Kamboh, Professor Dr Salman Bashir, Professor Dr Rehan Shah, Dr Sadaf Sadia and Dr Altaf Khaskheli, said that the people of Kashmir have been striving for their fundamental rights for decades and that raising international awareness remains an urgent priority.
They said that the people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters during challenging times. The rally concluded with special prayers for peace, security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the fulfilment of the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
