LODHRAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) Lodhran responded to 6,520 emergencies and provided medical assistance to 6,515 people during July 2026, according to the district’s monthly performance report released on Wednesday.
District Emergency Officer(DEO),Engineer Shakeel Ahmed said that the Rescue 1122 Control Room received 22,213 calls during the month.Of these,6,520 were genuine emergency calls,while the rest were dropped, irrelevant,informational or false.
The emergencies included 5,160 medical cases,690 road traffic accidents,21 fire incidents,109 crime-related emergencies,one drowning,one building collapse and 538 other incidents.
The report said 3,836 victims received first aid at the scene while 2,669 patients were shifted to government and private hospitals.Ten people died in various incidents during the month.
DEO Ahmed reaffirmed Rescue 1122’s commitment to providing timely and professional emergency services and urged the public to use the 1122 helpline only in genuine emergencies.
