PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) of Mohmand Police on Wednesday safely destroyed a large quantity of explosives seized in various criminal cases as part of efforts to strengthen law and order and ensure public safety.
The disposal operation was carried out on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Mohmand, Raza Muhammad (QPM), following permission from the District and Sessions Judge, under the supervision of Civil Judge Mohsin Tariq.
The operation was led by Bomb Disposal Unit In-charge Iqrar Khan, District Malkhana In-charge Naseer Khan and other police personnel, who followed all prescribed safety protocols during the disposal process.
According to police, the team safely neutralized and destroyed 330 explosive sticks, 111 detonators, 1,038 safety fuses and two hand grenades recovered in different cases.
Authorities said strict security measures were adopted throughout the operation to ensure the safety of the public and police personnel.
