ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Aug, 2026) Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on Wednesday by organizing a series of awareness activities at its headquarters in Karachi and airports across the country, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The observance was marked by the display of the national flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir at the PAA headquarters, while airports nationwide were adorned with awareness banners, standees, digital streamers and informational material highlighting the significance of the day. The campaign aimed to draw the attention of passengers and visitors to the continued situation in IIOJK and to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
As part of the nationwide initiative, documentaries and awareness videos portraying the plight, resilience and aspirations of the people of IIOJK were screened on digital display screens and television monitors installed at airport terminals.
The visual presentations sought to inform travelers about the historical and humanitarian dimensions associated with Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir.
Airport authorities also used public announcement systems to brief passengers and visitors about the significance of the occasion. Employees across airports observed a one-minute silence as a gesture of solidarity with the people of IIOJK, underscoring Pakistan’s continued support for their right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Through the coordinated observance across its network, the Pakistan Airports Authority reinforced its message of national solidarity with the Kashmiri people while ensuring that the occasion was prominently commemorated at major airports throughout the country.
