PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Aug, 2026) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday held meeting with renowned Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf and discussed measures to promote cricket in the province.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on initiatives aimed at encouraging young cricketers and strengthening cricket activities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They also discussed the launch of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League and other steps for the development of the sport.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kundi said the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possessed immense talent and that players from the province had earned international recognition through their outstanding performances, bringing pride to Pakistan.
Haris Rauf appreciated Governor Kundi’s efforts for the promotion of cricket in the province and said such initiatives would have far-reaching positive impacts in projecting the soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and providing opportunities to emerging talent.
