City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain on Tuesday visited the routes of Chehlum processions and Safe City Control Room to review security arrangements and directed the police officials to maintain high vigilance until the peaceful completion of all religious gatherings
FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Aug, 2026) City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain on Tuesday visited the routes of Chehlum processions and Safe City Control Room to review security arrangements and directed the police officials to maintain high vigilance until the peaceful completion of all religious gatherings.
According to Police Spokesman, the CPO inspected the security arrangements made for Chehlum processions and majalis and reviewed the monitoring system at the Safe City Control Room.
Superintendent of Police Lyallpur Division Abid Zafar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Civil Lines Ghulam Shabbir and other police officers accompanied him during the visit.
During visit to procession routes, the CPO inspected entry and exit points of Imambargahs and procession routes, walk-through gates, metal detectors and the search and sweep process to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
SP Lyallpur Division briefed the CPO about the deployment of police personnel and security measures taken for Chehlum events.
The CPO also visited the Safe City Control Room where the incharge control room briefed him about the monitoring process through surveillance cameras.
The CPO reviewed the routes of processions, entry and exit points and security duties through camera monitoring system. He also inspected modern surveillance arrangements being used to keep a close watch on any suspicious activity around the mourning processions.
He said that continuous monitoring of procession routes and important locations would continue until the conclusion of all Chehlum activities.
He directed all officers and personnel to remain alert and perform their duties with utmost responsibility.
He said that close coordination with district administration is helping maintain a peaceful atmosphere and every possible measure is being taken to ensure law & order and supremacy of law during Chehlum.
