LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Aug, 2026) The Punjab government has issued a formal notification announcing a local holiday on
the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) in Lahore on August 4.
According to the notification issued, district offices and all government institutions
under the deputy commissioner (DC) in Lahore will remain closed on August 4.
The notification made it clear that the Punjab Civil Secretariat and other provincial government
institutions will remain open as usual.
