Moderate rainfall was recorded in various parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday, while water levels in Nala Lai remained well below the pre-alert threshold, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning System (FFWS)
RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd Aug, 2026) Moderate rainfall was recorded in various parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday, while water levels in Nala Lai remained well below the pre-alert threshold, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning System (FFWS).
Official data issued at 2:00 p.m. showed that the highest rainfall of 41 millimetres was recorded at Katcheri (near Chaklala), followed by Gawalmandi (31 mm), Bokra (CTTI I-12) (14 mm), Pirwadhai (14 mm), New Katarian (3 mm) and Pakistan Meteorological Department (H-8/2) (1 mm). No rainfall was recorded at Saidpur Village, Golra (near E-11) and Shamsabad (RAMC).
The report said the basin mean rainfall was 3.97 mm.
According to the latest water level sensor data, the water level at Katarian stood at 5.5 feet, while Gawalmandi recorded 2.5 feet, both significantly below the pre-alert levels of 11.4 feet and 8.3 feet, respectively.
The Flood Forecasting and Warning System declared the overall situation “All Clear”, indicating that there was no immediate flood threat in Nala Lai. However, authorities said the situation was being continuously monitored and residents would be informed promptly in case of any significant change.
