ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Aug, 2026) The Federal government on Monday reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next fortnight after reviewing petroleum prices under the revised pricing mechanism.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products. The new rates took effect on Aug 4.
The price of petrol was cut by Rs4.08 per litre, bringing it down to Rs331.95 from Rs336.03.
The price of high-speed diesel was also reduced by Rs2.45 per litre. The new rate is Rs389.93 per litre, compared with the previous price of Rs392.38.
