FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 2nd Aug, 2026) Former minister of state Hajji Muhammad Akram Ansari and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Barrister Raja Daniyal Ahmed on Sunday visited a polling station in Faisalabad during the 2026 Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections and expressed satisfaction over the polling arrangements.
Polling for the LA-34 Jammu-I and LA-42 Kashmir Valley-III Constituencies continued peacefully across the district with voters casting their ballots at designated polling stations.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders visited the polling station established at Government MC High school on Kotwali Road,where they reviewed electoral arrangements and observed the polling process.
They inspected separate polling stations for male and female voters,reviewed security measures and voter facilitation arrangements and received a briefing from presiding officers,polling staff and administrative officials on the conduct of the elections.
Speaking to officials,the two leaders said that free,fair and transparent elections were essential for strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing public confidence in the electoral process.
They appreciated the efforts of the election staff,district administration and law enforcement agencies in ensuring peaceful and orderly polling,expressing confidence that the process would conclude smoothly and that the results would reflect the will of the people.
Later,Ansari and Daniyal visited the party’s election camp,where they met workers and reviewed election-related activities.
They urged party workers to strictly follow the election code of conduct and contribute to maintaining a peaceful and orderly atmosphere throughout the polling process.
