KHANEWAL, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Aug, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Abid on Saturday suspended two investigation officers over alleged negligence,defective investigation and misuse of authority, reaffirming that professional misconduct would not be tolerated.
According to DPO,Sub-Inspector(SI) Manzoor Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector(ASI) Saleem Raza both posted as investigation officers at Sarai Sidhu Police Station have been directed to report to the Police Lines after being placed under suspension.
The DPO also ordered separate departmental inquiries against the two officers to determine responsibility for the alleged misconduct.
Speaking on the occasion,Muhammad Abid said negligence,carelessness and flawed investigations would not be tolerated. He directed police officers to perform their duties with honesty,professionalism and strictly within the limits of their legal authority,warning that disciplinary action would be taken against officials found guilty of misconduct.
