FAISALABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Aug, 2026) Punjab Arts Council (PAC) Faisalabad Division organised a spiritually enriching and emotionally charged literary gathering titled “Maqasid-e-Karbala” to pay tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him) and the martyrs of Karbala.
The dignified Muharram-related event brought together prominent poets, Naat reciters, Manqabat reciters, literary figures and artists from across the city, who highlighted various dimensions of the tragedy of Karbala through their speeches and poetic presentations.
They stressed that unprecedented sacrifice of Karbala continues to inspire humanity to uphold truth, justice and righteousness against oppression.
They stressed that the message of Hazrat Imam Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him) would remain a beacon of guidance for all generations in the struggle against tyranny and injustice.
During gathering, the poets presented poignant elegies, salutations and lamentations that deeply moved the audience while Naat and Manqabat reciters offered heartfelt tributes in reverence to Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the Ahl-e-Bait.
The hall echoed with resounding chants of “Labbaik Ya Hussain” and “Assalamu Alaika Ya Aba Abdillah”, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
Addressing the participants, Director Faisalabad Arts Council Maqbool Malik said that Arts Council would continue to promote religious, literary and cultural traditions through meaningful events that strengthen social harmony and preserve the nation’s spiritual heritage.
He said that the ideals of Hussainiyat would remain alive forever because they symbolise truth, justice and steadfastness in the face of oppression.
Later, special prayers were offered for the martyrs of Karbala while supplications were also offered for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
A large number of men and women attended the gathering and described it as one of the most inspiring literary and spiritual events.
