MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Aug, 2026) Multan Division Commissioner Amir Karim Khan on Saturday announced a pilot project to establish facilitation centers at Union Council offices to provide citizens with multiple government services at a single location.
Chairing a review meeting on the proposed centers,the commissioner said one facilitation center would initially be established in each district of the division.
The pilot project would continue for one month before its expansion across the region.
He said existing government buildings,IT facilities and available staff would be utilized to ensure efficient service delivery.
The proposed centers would provide services including domicile issuance,birth and death registration,social welfare assistance and livestock-related facilities in phases.
Commissioner Amir said the initiative would reduce public inconvenience by eliminating the need to visit multiple offices for different services.
He said the modern facilitation center model would strengthen citizen-friendly governance by transforming Union Council offices into one-window service points at the grassroots level.
