LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Aug, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran on Saturday held two open court (Khuli Katcheri) sessions in a day to hear public complaints and directed police officers concerned to ensure immediate redressal on merit.
The complaints presented during the sessions included inheritance property disputes, illegal occupation, domestic violence, threats against women, fraud, employment scams and tenancy-related issues.
The DIG Operations directed the SDPO Cantt and SHOs of Lohari Gate, Shalimar, Ichhra, Mustafa Town, Shafiqabad, Raiwind City, Sherakot, Lower Mall, Hayer and Bata Pur police stations to take action strictly on merit in the light of available evidence.
He also instructed them to promote reconciliation where appropriate and provide immediate relief to the affected citizens.
Faisal Kamran said protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring timely delivery of justice were among the fundamental responsibilities of Lahore Police.
He said all possible measures were being taken to uphold the rule of law and provide prompt relief to the public, adding that the Primary objective of holding open courts was to strengthen public trust, improve direct communication between citizens and the police, and ensure swift resolution of public grievances.
