RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31st Jul, 2026) A child was swept away in nullah in Friends Colony on Misrial Road, Rawalpindi, on Friday, prompting an immediate response from Rescue 1122.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, emergency teams rushed to the scene soon after receiving the alert and launched a search operation to locate the missing child.
Eyewitnesses said the child was playing near the nullah when he accidentally fell into the fast-flowing water and was swept away.
The search operation was continuing at the time of filing this report, Rescue 1122 Media Coordinator Muhammad Usman Gujjar said.
He advised parents to keep children away from Nullah Lai and electricity poles during rain.
