The Indian media reported that the actor, who is widely known for his passion for football, has often showcased his skills in viral social media videos.
His long-standing enthusiasm for the sport has now earned him a place in a professional football team.
Tiger has been training with Mumbai FC and is expected to feature in the club’s final group-stage match against Shillong Lajong FC on July 30 in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
The reports said the actor has been associated with Mumbai FC since its inception. He co-founded the club in 2024 and has served as its brand ambassador, playing an active role in promoting football in India.
If included in the playing XI, the match will mark Tiger Shroff’s first official appearance in the prestigious Durand Cup, one of Asia’s oldest football tournaments.
