MULTAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th Jun, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided a fake juice production unit in Chak No. 42, Khanewal, and seizing adulterated products, counterfeit packaging material and prohibited ingredients.
The operation was carried out on the directives of Director General Punjab Food Authority Syed Musa Raza as part of ongoing efforts to curb food fraud and protect public health.
The raided soda and juice plant was involved in the production of counterfeit mango juice and other flavored beverages under the Names of renowned commercial brands. During inspection, food safety teams discovered the use of substandard and artificial ingredients in the manufacturing process.
The enforcement team confiscated and destroyed 40 litres of fake mango juice, seized 10 kilograms of counterfeit packaging material and recovered banned ingredients being used in the preparation of the beverages. The unit was immediately shut down and its production activities were halted till improvement.
A case was registered against the owner of the facility at the relevant police station.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Food Authority Syed Musa Raza said that operations against counterfeiters and adulteration mafias were being carried out across Punjab.
He said that there would be no compromise on the health of masses.
