LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Jun, 2026) The Lahore Police has intensified security and operational preparations across the city ahead of Muharram to ensure the peaceful observance of religious gatherings and processions,here on Saturday.
As part of the preparations,DIG Operations Faisal Kamran visited several Imambargahs and reviewed security arrangements.
During the visit,he inspected security measures at Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool and Imambargah Model Town.
He also examined the routes of processions originating from the two Imambargahs and reviewed the security plan in detail.
The DIG met administrators of the religious institutions and discussed security, traffic management and other administrative matters related to Muharram arrangements.
He directed police officers to maintain close coordination with organizers of gatherings and processions to ensure that any issues arising during the month are addressed promptly.
Faisal Kamran said the police were fully prepared to provide security for Imambargahs,majalis and processions across the city.
He instructed the concerned officers to complete all logistical and security arrangements before the start of Muharram-ul-Haram to facilitate mourners and maintain a peaceful environment.
The police have been reviewing security protocols and operational plans as part of broader efforts to ensure law and order during the religious observances.
