ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th Jun, 2026) Azhar Shehzad, who embraced martyrdom in the recent helicopter crash in Kashmir, was laid to rest late Thursday night at his ancestral graveyard in Banda Fateh Khan amid an atmosphere of profound grief and respect.
A contingent of the Pakistan Army accorded the fallen youth full military honors during the burial ceremony, presenting a ceremonial salute in recognition of his sacrifice. The funeral prayers were attended by senior army officials, relatives, and a large number of local residents.
Emotions ran high as mourners gathered to bid a final farewell to the young martyr. The solemn occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes, with tearful family members and community members paying their respects during the final rites.
Special prayers were offered for the elevation of Azhar Shehzad’s ranks in the hereafter, while supplications were made for courage, patience, and fortitude for his grieving parents and family as they cope with their irreparable loss.
