BUREWALA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15th May, 2026) In a joint operation, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and Special Branch discovered a factory producing fake milk near an area known as Kacchi Pakki, an official source said.
The fake milk was being prepared using AC chillers installed in a residential quarter. The team discarded around 1,000 litres of milk after it failed to meet basic quality standards during testing with lactometer. The production centre was sealed on the spot, while the owner, Muhammad Imran, managed to escape during the raid.
Drums of chemicals and utensils used in the preparation of fake milk were taken into custody, the official added, saying that a search for the absconding owner was underway.
It is worth mentioning that cases of fake and adulterated milk recovery are increasing. A day earlier, the food authority recovered about 100 litres of adulterated milk, 100kg of expired biscuits and a large quantity of contaminated milk during operations in Kot Addu. The action was carried out at Noor Shah Road Pul Maghzan and Basti Manjotha.
