RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th May, 2026) A man was shot dead in the jurisdiction of New Town police station, Police spokesperson said on Thursday.
According to police, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) New Town, accompanied by a police contingent, reached the crime scene soon after the incident.
Initial reports suggest that the citizen was killed in a firing incident, however, police said investigations are underway from all possible angles to determine the motive behind the murder.
Forensic teams are collecting evidence from the scene, while the body has been shifted to hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police said efforts are underway to arrest the suspect involved in the crime and bring them to justice.
