IRSA Releases 169,900 Cusecs Water


ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th May, 2026) Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 169,900 cusecs of water from various rim stations with inflow of 180,100 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam stood at 1452.52 feet which was 52.52 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 66,200 cusecs and 70,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1162.

00 feet, which was 112.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 48,000 cusecs and 34,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 116,700, 72,800, 53,600, and 13,700 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 41,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera, and 16,300 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
