
The State Bank of Pakistan reported that remittances from overseas Pakistanis reached $3.53 billion in April 2026, up 11% year-on-year, with major inflows from Gulf countries.
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May-11, 2026) Overseas Pakistanis sent $3.53 billion in remittances during April 2026, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
The central bank said this figure is 11% higher compared to April 2025. However, remittances in April 2026 dropped by 8% compared to March 2026, when inflows stood at $3.83 billion.
The SBP reported that $1.9 billion came from the middle East during April, including $842 million from Saudi Arabia, $735 million from the UAE, and $325 million from other GCC countries.
For the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, total remittances reached around $33.86–33.9 billion, showing an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.
