MARDAN, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam here Saturday said that Marka-e-Haq has proved that the Pakistani nation has all the abilities and strength to safeguard the country’s ideology, freedom, and sovereignty.
He said the entire nation of Pakistan salutes those brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the defense, security, and dignity of Pakistan.
Engr Amir Muqam expressed these views while addressing a large public gathering at the residence of former provincial assembly member Jamshed Khan Mohmand in connection with the celebration of Marka-e-Haq here in Mardan district.
The Federal Minister said that today they had gathered here to pay rich tribute to the great martyrs and veterans on the occasion of the Marka-e-Haq’s celebrations.
He said it was symbol of national honour, unity, sacrifice, and renewed determination of Pakistanis that protected the country from all threats.
“The whole nation salutes those courageous sons who laid down their lives for the defense, security, and prestige of Pakistan.”
He said Marka e Haq was a bright chapter in national defense history which proved that the Pakistani nation can make every sacrifice to safeguard their ideology, freedom, and sovereignty.
“Our martyrs protected the homeland with their blood, while the veterans created new examples of bravery, courage, and professional excellence.”
The minister said Marka-e-Haq was not only a military success but also a victory of truth itself.
Engr Amir Muqam said Pakistan stood by the truth against lies and negative propaganda trumpeted by the adversary, which became the fundamental reason for this success.
He added that if Pakistan was recognized today as a strong, dignified, and invincible state, it is because of the immense sacrifices of its martyrs and the unparalleled services of the armed forces.
The unity, courage, and determination shown by the entire nation and armed forces of Pakistan during the war-like situation would be written in golden words in history.
At this critical stage, he said Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s wise leadership strengthened national unity, effectively presented Pakistan’s position before the world, and guided the nation on every front.
Similarly, he praised CDF/COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his courageous, visionary, and extraordinary military leadership, saying it thwarted the enemy’s malicious intentions and has defeated India on all fronts.
Under his leadership, he said Pakistan Armed Forces demonstrated such professionalism, bravery, and strategy that it became clear to the whole world that Pakistan’s defense is invincible and are in strong hands.
He said that the great spirit of Pakistani forces he witnessed on the Line of Control (LoC) was truly remarkable, and that the entire nation stands firmly behind their armed forces.
He warned that if another attempt of misadventure was made by the enemy, the response of Pakistan would be even more severe and forceful.
Engineer Amir Muqam said that India had attacked Pakistan on mid night of 6-7, 2025 by leveling baseless allegations regarding targeting militants hideouts, but in reality innocent civilians, women, and children were attacked and killed, which amounted to a blatant assault on Pakistan’s sovereignty.
In response to this unprovoked aggression, Pakistan successfully targeted enemy military installations and airbases during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, proving to the world that Pakistan was a highly responsible yet strong military power to defend its self from all threats.
He said the examples of courage and bravery set during the operation by Pakistani forces would be remembered forever.
The Federal Minister said that international leaders and media are themselves acknowledging Pakistan historic victory against India. He added that today the whole nation pays tribute to its political and military leadership for defending Pakistan’s dignity with unity, wisdom, and determination.
Commenting on provincial politics, he claimed it was regrettable that the KP government had resorted to a pen-down strike and stopped working. He criticized a certain group for wasting people’s time and remarked that while he had heard of pen thieves, this was the first time he had seen pen-drop protesters, calling it a new phenomenon.
The minister further said that today the honor of the green crescent flag and the dignity of the green passport have risen higher than ever in the world. The international community now recognizes Pakistan as a strong, self-reliant, and responsible state. He said this respect had been earned because of the sacrifices and vision of the martyrs, veterans, and national leadership.
The celebration of Marka e Haq is in fact a day to salute the veterans and martyrs of Pakistan. It reminds us that nations become strong not merely through resources, but through sacrifice, unity, and national spirit. He said the veterans are the nation’s pride, the martyrs are its honor, and their families raise the nation’s head high with pride.
Addressing the families of martyrs, he assured them that the state and government would never forget their sacrifices. The blood of their loved ones is embedded in the foundations of the homeland, and the whole nation salutes them.
Today everyone must pledge to work together for Pakistan’s development, stability, peace, and prosperity. No matter how much negative propaganda the enemy spreads, the Pakistani nation will remain united with its armed forces and leadership like a wall of steel.
He prayed that Allah Almighty may elevate the ranks of the martyrs, keep the veterans safe, and make Pakistan forever a cradle of peace, development, and stability.
Former MPA Jamshed Khan Mohmand, PML-N Mardan District President Advocate Inayat Bacha, MPA Suresh Kumar, party leadership, parliamentarians, and a large number of workers were also present on the occasion. Enthusiastic workers were carrying national flags and chanting slogans such as “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live Pakistan Armed Forces.” Patriotic songs were also presented at the event.
Other speakers also paid rich tribute to the veterans and martyrs and highlighted the importance of event.
Earlier, enthusiastic workers warmly welcomed Federal Minister and PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Engineer Amir Muqam, who led a large rally to the venue.
