LONDON, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 08th May, 2026) The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) said today that global food prices rose in April for the third consecutive month, driven particularly by higher vegetable oil prices.
The FAO Food price Index, which measures changes in a basket of globally traded food commodities, averaged 130.7 points in April, up 1.6 percent from its revised level in March.
