DG Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro Visits Facilitation Center At Jeddah Airport; Directs 24/7 Support For Pilgrims


MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th May, 2026) Director General Hajj, Abdul Wahab Soomro, visited the Pakistan Hajj Mission Facilitation Center at the Jeddah Hajj Terminal today to review the arrangements and facilities provided to Pakistani pilgrims.

During the visit, the In-charge of the center, Haider Ali, provided a detailed briefing to the Director General regarding the assistance being extended to pilgrims, including transport management, guidance services, and facilitation during the immigration process.

The DG Hajj inspected various counters, guidance desks, and the medical dispensary established at the terminal.

He issued strict directives to the staff to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 services for arriving pilgrims, emphasizing that no pilgrim should face any inconvenience upon arrival.

He reiterated that the Government of Pakistan considers the service of pilgrims its top priority and is utilizing all available resources to ensure a smooth Hajj operation.

Talking to the media, DG Abdul Wahab Soomro shared that approximately *90,000 pilgrims* are arriving this year under the ‘Route to Makkah’ initiative, while the remaining *30,000 pilgrims* are arriving via other flights. He expressed the government’s commitment to expanding the ‘Route to Makkah’ facility to all Pakistani pilgrims in the future to simplify the travel process further.

While appreciating the dedication of the field staff, the Director General stressed the importance of maintaining high alertness to ensure the timely departure of pilgrims to Makkah and the immediate provision of medical aid in case of any health emergencies.
