RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th May, 2026) Traders and residents on Thursday organised a rally on Liaquat Road in Rawalpindi to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” and express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The rally, titled “Main Pakistan Hoon” (I Am Pakistan), was led by President Anjuman-e-Tajran Liaquat Road Sheikh Abdul Waheed and attended by General Secretary Sardar Nazir Ahmad Kashmiri, traders and representatives from various segments of society.
Participants carried Pakistani flags, banners and placards, while chanting slogans in support of the armed forces and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.
Addressing the gathering at Fawara Chowk in Raja Bazaar, Sheikh Abdul Waheed described “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” as “a golden chapter in Pakistan’s military history” and said it had conveyed a strong message of unity, courage and patriotism.
He said the armed forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, had demonstrated “unmatched courage, strategic excellence and unwavering resolve”, which he termed a source of pride for the nation.
Waheed said the people, including the trader community, stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and were prepared to make every sacrifice for the country’s defence.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Nazir Ahmad Kashmiri said the armed forces had rendered significant sacrifices for the sovereignty, integrity and peace of the country. He added that the entire nation stood united with its armed forces and was capable of countering any threat to national security.
He said “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” had become a symbol of national unity, determination and commitment to defending the homeland.
