Mark-e-Haq: A Defining Chapter Of National Unity And Resistance

PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th May, 2026) Showing exemplary national unity and strong resistance against the aggressor during Marka-e-Haq spanning from April 22 to May 10, 2025, the entire Pakistani nation have stood like an iron wall for support of their braved armed forces after a three-time larger coward enemy attacked Punjab and Azad Kashmir during mid night of May 6 last year.

The brief but intense 72-hour powerful response by the Pakistani military during Marka e Haq against India’s unprovoked missiles and drones attacks in Punjab and Azad Kashmir have shattered the deception of the fascist Modi regime of regional supremacy and exposed wide cracks in India’s security apparatus.

The conflict began on the night of May 6 last year, when Indian Forces launched missiles and drone strikes on multiple civilian locations in Pakistan, including Ahmedpur Sharqia, Muridke, Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli, killing 36 civilians including women and children.

“These unprovoked assaults, carried out under the cover of darkness, reflected the enemy’s weakness,” said Brigadier Retd Mehmood Shah, senior security analyst while talking to APP.

He said the inimical forces have badly failed to achieve its military objectives despite using nuclear-capable cruise missiles in a conventional role against Pakistan that raised serious concerns about strategic stability in the region.

While pointing to the deployment and use of BrahMos missile systems by India during the May conflict last year, Brigadier Mehmood said that its storages were completely destroyed by Pakistan. “When deterrence thresholds are tested in an unlawful way as was done by India in the May conflict, the risk of miscalculation increases significantly.

Following Pehalgam shooting incident in which 26 tourists were killed in false flag operation widely believed to be orchestrated by RAW, he said that India attacked Pakistan to hide its security failure, separatist movements and divert world attention from human rights abuses and state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jummu and Kashmir.

India has broken all records of human rights violations and state terrorism in the IIOJ&K where Kashmiris youth were extrajudicial killed and women as well as children were subjected to physical torture.

In response, he said Pakistan launched a series of retaliatory measures in self-defense and shot down multiple advanced fighter aircraft including Rafale jets of the enemy. He counted four Rafale aircrafts along with one MiG-29, one SU-30MKI, one Mirage-2000, and a Heron drone of the enemy that were destroyed by PAF during an encounter. Similarly, S-400 air defence systems, BrahMos missile storage compounds, and several brigade headquarters of the enemy were successfully targeted, reflecting the scale and depth of Pakistan’s successful operation.

“This marked a significant operational achievement of Pakistan,” Brigadier Mehmood remarked, adding that operation iron wall testified that PAF was an undisputed king of the skies.

Security experts said Marka-e-Haq 2025 engagement is a defining case study in modern air combat, where the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) exhibited precision strike capability, multi-domain integration, and cyber operations that offset the numerical advantage of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

They reiterated that the encounter was a unique air battle fought on reach, integration, and decision-making speed by PAF, emphasizing that distance no longer guarantees survivability in contemporary war.

Brig Mehmood said the conflict reached its peak on May 10 with the launch of Pakistan’s counteroffensive, Operation Bunyanum Marsoos that broke the enemy’s back. Multiple targets across Indian Illegal Occupied Jummu and Kashmir and mainland India were successfully struck, including military positions in Uri, Nowshera, and Rajauri, inflicting heavy losses to the enemy. “The successful operation of Bunynum Marsoos demonstrated a shift toward network-centric warfare, integrating precision strikes with real-time intelligence and dismantling of assigned targets,” he said.

He said the Pakistan Forces have successfully destroyed advanced air defense systems, including the S-400 missile system of the enemy and testified superiority in conventional warfare.

Dr Ejaz Khan, former Chairman, International Relations Department at University of Peshawar said that Marka-e-Haq highlighted the evolving nature of warfare in South Asia where technology, narrative control, and rapid response shape outcomes as much as conventional strength. He said Marka e Haq has cleared that Pakistan was a strong country that is fully capable to destroy the enemy’s designs with full might.

Dr Ejaz reiterated that durable peace in the subcontinent cannot be established unless resolution of the core issue of Kashmir, adding peace remains the only sustainable path that should be anchored in restraint, dialogue, and respect for international norms.

The experts said during Marka e Haq, the spirit of people in Pakistan was the same as that which was demonstrated during the 1965 war. From Karachi to Khyber and Gwadar to Skardu, people of Pakistan stood for support of its valiant security forces while singers and poets helped in the creation of waves of patriotism.
