ABBOTTABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th May, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara, Nasir Mahmood Satti Monday, visited Ayub Medical Complex to inquire after Head Constable Riyasat, who was injured in a firing incident by criminals while performing his duties at a police station in Mansehra.
During the visit, the DIG praised the injured officer’s bravery in confronting the attackers and presented him with a bouquet. He also announced financial assistance for his medical treatment and reviewed the healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Mahmood Satti said that “our Ghazis are a valuable asset, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police stands by its personnel at all times.
” He confirmed that the suspects involved in the incident have been arrested and assured that they will be given strict punishment in accordance with the law.
The DIG reiterated that there is no place for criminals in the Hazara region and that indiscriminate legal action will continue against them. He directed hospital authorities to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured officer.
The DIG also met the family members of the injured policeman and assured them of full support from the police department.
