LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd May, 2026) Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Bilal Yasin held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) in his constituency, where he listened to a large number of public complaints and issued on-the-spot directions to the relevant departments for their immediate resolution.
Citizens from various areas raised issues related to water supply, sewerage, sanitation, electricity, and gas. The minister directed WASA, LESCO, Sui Gas and other relevant departments to ensure swift redressal of grievances without delay. He also instructed authorities to accelerate the pace of ongoing development projects in the constituency.
Talking on the occasion, Bilal Yasin said that the purpose of holding open courts is to directly engage with the public and ensure timely solutions to their problems at the grassroots level.
He emphasized that resolving civic issues, particularly those related to water, sanitation, and infrastructure, remains the government’s top priority.
He said that sustainable planning and effective governance are linked to the continuity of the democratic process and strengthening of institutions.
The minister added that rising oil prices had contributed to inflationary pressures, however, he expressed optimism that the situation would improve in the near future. He noted that the Punjab government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, has provided relief to the public through initiatives such as free travel facilities.
He also highlighted that development projects, infrastructure improvements, and public welfare programs are being expanded across all districts of Punjab to ensure balanced regional growth and better service delivery.
