SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 2nd May, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an accused during an operation against human trafficking elements in Sargodha Circle,officials said on Saturday.
According to details,the accused Abdul Sattar,r/o Tehsil Bhalwal was arrested in Case No. 17/2026 under Sections 17/22 of the Immigration Ordinance 1979.
Investigators said the accused,in connivance with accomplices,allegedly extorted Rs3.6 million from a complainant by promising a work visa for Kyrgyzstan.However,the complainant was neither sent abroad nor was the money returned.
Officials said further investigation was underway,while raids were being conducted to arrest other suspects involved in the case.
The FIA urged the public to deal only with authorized and registered agents for overseas employment to avoid falling victim to fraud.
