ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st May, 2026) Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi Friday paid warm tribute to Pakistan’s working class on International Labour Day, calling workers the true asset of the nation and reaffirming the state’s responsibility to protect their rights.
In his message, Khalid Magsi said that Labour Day renews our commitment to hard work, service, and national progress, stressing that the contributions of the working class are fundamental to Pakistan’s development.
He noted that workers in factories, laboratories, fields, and the construction sector are the real wealth of the nation, adding that islam regards honest labour and legitimate livelihood as symbols of honour and dignity.
The Minister emphasized that protecting workers’ rights and ensuring timely compensation is a core responsibility of the state, and that the role of workers in the fields of science, technology, and industrial development is invaluable.
Khalid Magsi stated that the working class serves as the backbone of modern technological advancement and research, and that without their contribution, progress in any sector remains impossible.
Khalid Magsi extended heartfelt salutes to all workers who are playing their part in the construction and development of Pakistan, wishing them a meaningful and dignified Labour Day.
