PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Apr, 2026) A toolkit distribution ceremony was held here at Haris Institute with the support of Helvetas Pakistan, benefiting 25 graduates of the CCTV cum General Electrician training batch.
The event was attended by MPA Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Assistant Director Labour Department, Saad Khan, representatives of private TVET institutes, journalists, parents, and trainees.
Zahid Nadeem, CEO of Haris Institute, welcomed the participants and shared an overview of the institute’s role in skills development.
Ms. Shazia Hina, Program Manager at Helvetas Pakistan, introduced the organization and its Inclusive Protection for Vulnerable Children (IPVC) project.
She highlighted Helvetas’ efforts to create a protective environment for vulnerable children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through market-driven skills training, job linkages, and provision of toolkits to enable dignified livelihoods.
Mr. Saad shared the mandate of the Labor Department and assured continued support for skilled workers. MPA Syed Qasim Ali Shah appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed government support for such impactful programs.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of toolkits among the graduating trainees, marking an important step towards their economic empowerment and self-reliance.
