European Union Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis appreciated Pakistan’s role as a mediator between the United States and Iran
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 28th, 2026) European Union Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis says Pakistan and EU have immense potential to further expand business ties.
The EU envoy said Pakistan‘s GSP Plus status provides duty-free access to European Union markets, offering greater opportunities for Pakistani exports. He highlighted that the European Union remains the largest destination for Pakistan‘s exports.
Raimundas Karoblis pointed out the potential to further increase exports in traditional textile and garments sectors.
He also noted that several major European companies are interested in investing in Pakistan across various sectors, including mining.
He said the ongoing forum will explore avenues of cooperation in digital innovation, fintech, and sustainable logistics.
Regarding regional diplomacy, the European Union Ambassador appreciated Pakistan‘s role as a mediator between the United States and Iran. He commended Pakistan‘s commitment to global peace, noting its effective use of diplomatic channels with the United States, Iran, and Gulf countries.
