RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Apr, 2026) A court has sentenced two drug suppliers, including a woman, to a total of 18 years imprisonment and fines in separate cases, police said.
The convicts, Mehwish and Ansar, were awarded nine years imprisonment each along with fines of Rs. 80,000.
According to police sources, Mehwish was arrested by Dhamyal police in July with 2.03 kilograms of hashish and Ansar was arrested by Sadiqabad police in June 2025 with 2.6 kilograms of hashish.
Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani lauded the efforts of investigation and legal teams, reiterating that strict measures are being taken to eliminate drug trafficking.
