LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Abdul Kareem, on Monday took notice of the killing of three women in a firing incident over a family dispute in the Miani police station area of Sargodha.
The IGP sought a report from the regional police officer (RPO) Sargodha and directed the district police officer (DPO) to immediately arrest the accused involved in the incident.
He ordered that all available resources be utilised to ensure the arrest of the suspect.
According to police, senior officers and forensic teams reached the crime scene and collected evidence. The DPO said that special teams had been formed and the accused would be arrested soon.
Police said that the suspect, reportedly a step-uncle, opened fire over a matrimonial dispute, killing his niece, sister-in-law and a domestic worker before fleeing the scene.
