KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th Apr, 2026) The Consul General of The Islamic Republic of Iran Akbar Eissa Zadeh on Saturday said that Iran needs atomic energy only for the positive targets including medical purposes.
While addressing members of the Pakistan Institute of International Affairs (PIIA) in a session titled ‘Iran at the Crossroads of War in the middle East’ at PIIA library, he said that martyred Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatullah Khamenei had declared that Iran did not need involvement of atomic weapons in its defence system but she needs the atomic energy for positive targets.
He said that though the United States (US) along with Israel launched attacks on Iran without a solid reason and still today they (Iranian) are in a state of surprise why those attacks were carried out.
The Iranian Consul General Akbar Eissa Zadeh said that Iran’s cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is continue.
Lauding the efforts of Pakistan for initiating mediation between US and Iran, he said that the credit goes to Pakistan for making efforts to arrange mediation between them.
He further said that they are waiting for the second round of talks.
Akbar Eissa Zadeh said that the world has been defeated as all the international laws and rules have been crushed under the feet by the US and Israel only for achieving their target of ‘First Israel’.
He said that international organizations which claim to be the champions of human rights and all other forms dealing with international systems have not issued even a single condemnation statement.
The Consul General blamed that the media of the world is being controlled by their enemy and that media is emphasizing their view points.
He repeated that the US President Donald Trump had not the solid reason to launch attacks on Iran.
He said that the politics of Trump revolves in the Gul region only for first Israel purpose.
Akbar Eissa Zadeh said that their martyred Supreme Leader taught them the rules of diplomacy, which included sovereignty, freedom and self-determination.
The Iranian Consul General said that the attacks against Iran were carried out in two phases.
He said that the US resorted to diplomacy of threat, blockage and launch of a drive on social media against Iran.
He said that the US martyred the Supreme leader of Iran in illegal aggression. He remarked that they should not marytr him.
Zadeh said that US- Israel attacked Iranian military assets, infrastructure, leadership and martyred 168 children.
Iran will follow the path of respect, he said adding that Iran fought her enemy with her locally made missiles. Iran has advanced in technology in spite of sanctions.
He claimed, ‘The enemy has marooned in a closed street ‘.The Iranian Consul General said that the enemy miscalculated Iran and attacked her.
He said that US has divided. Half of the Americans are backing Trump and half are against his policies.
He was of the view that Trump told lie to congress on the Iran issue.
He said that there is merely a little difference between Republicans and Democrats in the US.
During, questions and answers session, he said that in fact the Strait of Hormuz was closed due to US and Israel. He said that Iran has developed good relations with her neighbouring countries.
He urged the Muslim countries to be united. Replying to a question, he said that it was decided that Pak-Iran trade will be increased but the war started.He said that the region will see effects of the war on economy.
