SIALKOT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th Apr, 2026) Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Punjab Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt on Saturday said the government was taking practical steps to improve public welfare and address key socio-economic challenges across the province.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz Sharif, initiatives were being implemented in areas including protection of girls,promotion of education, uplift of the labour class and rehabilitation of flood-affected regions.
Addressing a public gathering in Butter, the minister said the government’s policies were aligned with public aspirations and their benefits were reaching the common man.
He announced that work was underway on a comprehensive sewerage system in Butter and Burj, while projects to lay tough tiles in streets were also in progress.
He added that solar systems and additional classrooms were being installed at Government Girls High school Butter on the directions of Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
The event was attended by PML-N General Secretary Shujaat Ali Pasha, former vice chairman Nisar Ahmad, former councilors and a large number of local residents.
Speaking on the occasion,Shujaat Ali Pasha said that in collaboration with WASA, efforts were being made to resolve longstanding sewerage issues in the area and improve drainage and street infrastructure.
He added that development work would be carried out on a priority basis in neglected areas, with a focus on providing quality municipal services.
