LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th May, 2026) Important progress has been made on the plan to establish sports city in Punjab, and in this connection an important meeting was held between Sports Punjab Secretary Fazlur Rehman and Ravi Urban Development Authority CEO Imran Amin.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the land acquisition and construction plan for the sports city. According to officials, Pakistan‘s first modern sports city will be established in Lahore, which will be completed in different phases.
Secretary Sports Fazlur Rehman said that this project will prove to be an important milestone for the promotion of sports in the province. He said that modern sports complexes and international standard stadiums will be built in the Sports City.
According to officials, the Ravi Urban Development Authority is busy in the process of acquiring land for this project.
DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Additional Secretary Sports Shabbir Hussain Cheema and other officers of PMU Sports also attended the meeting.
