HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th May, 2026) As many as 11,212 children under 5 years of age could not be immunized against polio during the last one-week campaign which had started on April 13 in Hyderabad.
A health official informed here on Sunday that 10,649 children could not be given polio drops because they were not present at home during visits of the polio teams.
He added that 563 refusal cases had also surfaced mainly from densely populated areas of City taluka and Latifabad taluka during the drive.The authorities had set a target of around 350,000 children last month.The official told that another campaign was set to start in Hyderabad from May 18 for 7 days.
