PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th May, 2026) Former Speaker National Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House here on Sunday.
PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Khan, MNA Mehboob Shah, MNA Saleem Rehman and former MNA Saeedullah Shah also accompanied him.
During the meeting, Fateha was offered for the martyrs of the Bannu tragedy and prayers were made for the departed souls.
The two sides discussed the rights and issues of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while expressing serious concern over the closure of CNG stations in the province by the provincial government.
The leaders also termed the Federal government’s attitude regarding the wheat crisis in the province as unfortunate.
Matters relating to the NFC Award and issues being faced by the merged districts also came under discussion.
The meeting urged the federal government to play its role in addressing the sense of deprivation among the trader community, political leadership and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said the federation should listen to the stance of representatives from all sectors and resolve the problems relating to taxation in erstwhile FATA and PATA, closure of CNG stations, provincial rights and difficulties being faced by the trader community.
He said the matter had also been discussed with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who had assured full cooperation in resolving the issues.
