LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th May, 2026) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful operations against Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts.
The prime minister praised the security forces for eliminating five terrorists during the operations and termed the actions a major success in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the security forces were achieving significant victories against terrorist elements across the country.
He stated that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the war against terrorism and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to completely eradicate terrorism from Pakistan. “The whole nation is united against terrorism and we will not rest until every form of terrorism is eliminated from the country,” the prime minister said.
He also appreciated the courage and professionalism of the security personnel engaged in safeguarding the country and maintaining peace and stability.
