Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issues a two-page written order after hearing petition filed regarding Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May 8th, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the Superintendent of Adiala Jail on May 12 in connection with a petition seeking family meetings and access to a personal physician for former first lady Bushra Bibi.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued a two-page written order after hearing the petition filed regarding Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan.
During the hearing, Advocate General Islamabad Naveed Hayat Malik informed the court that previous court directions had been implemented and that the petitioner had been heard by the jail superintendent through a telephone call. He further stated that a report on the matter was in the process of being submitted.
However, counsel Salman Akram Raja objected to the claim and argued that Bushra Bibi was not being provided medical treatment in accordance with the court’s orders.
He also contended that the petitioner had not been personally heard by the superintendent as required by the court.
The court directed the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to personally hear Bushra Bibi’s daughter on Monday regarding the application. The court also instructed the Advocate General to coordinate with Salman Akram Raja and communicate the meeting time to the petitioner.
According to the written order, the jail superintendent will decide the matter after hearing the applicant and submit a compliance report before the court on May 12.
