HYDERABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th May, 2026) On the special directives of deputy commissioner, various organizations set up heatwave camps and organized awareness activities in different areas of Hyderabad city to protect citizens from extreme weather conditions and heat-related illnesses.
During the camps, citizens were educated about precautionary measures to prevent extreme heat and heatstroke. The organizers also distributed different drinks including cold drinking water, ORS, Namakol, lemon water and other relief items among the public. Citizens were advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during afternoon hours, increase water intake and follow safety precautions during the intense heat.
Representatives of the social organizations assured full cooperation with the district administration and stated that protecting human lives during extreme weather conditions was a collective responsibility. They added that welfare and relief activities for the public would continue.
The district administration appreciated the efforts of social organizations and volunteers in protecting citizens from the possible effects of the heatwave, stating that timely awareness and relief measures can help minimize the impact of severe heat on the public.
