PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th May, 2026) A minor fight between children that occurred two months ago escalated into a deadly incident in Bannu, resulting in the killing of three people, including a young child.
According to police on Monday, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of City Police Station on Jaman Road, near Rashid Bakery, inside a welding shop.
The alleged suspect, identified as Imran, son of Inayatullah, a resident of Jaman Road, reportedly opened fire without warning.
As a result, Zafar Ali, his brother Adnan and Zafar Ali’s seven-year-old son, Haroon were killed on the spot.
The suspect managed to flee the scene immediately after the incident.
Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the attack was a dispute stemming from a minor fight between children two months earlier, which later escalated into a serious feud between the families.
Police reached the scene promptly after receiving the report and shifted the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital Bannu. After completing legal formalities the bodies were handed over to the victims’ families.
A case has been registered based on the complaint filed by Hassan, son of the deceased Zafar Ali. Police have launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.
