PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd May, 2026) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a rain and hailstorm alert for various parts of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning of a significant change in weather conditions.
According to the NDMA on Sunday, thunderstorms accompanied by rain and possible hailstorms are expected in different regions of the country over the next 24 hours.
Authorities have been placed on alert to respond to any emergency situation.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall is forecast in several districts, including Dir, Malam Jabba, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Abbottabad.
The alert also extends to northern areas, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, where rain with thunder and lightning is expected.
Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel and take preventive safety measures during the adverse weather conditions.
