LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd May, 2026) A review meeting of the Lahore Development Program (LDP) was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner(DC) Lahore with officials from EOMCL,Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance,WASA,NESPAK and other relevant departments in attendance,here on Sunday.
During the briefing,participants were informed that construction work on 5,107 streets has been completed under Phase-II of the program,while development activities were continuing at a rapid pace in remaining areas.
The DC Lahore directed strict enforcement of quality standards,stating that a zero-tolerance policy must be adopted against the use of substandard material in all development projects.
He further instructed that tough tiles be installed in streets under the LDP as per prescribed specifications.
Emphasizing public convenience and safety, he directed all departments to ensure strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across ongoing projects.
The DC said that development work under the LDP would continue without interruption,adding that efforts were being made to ensure uniform development across all areas of the city,including underdeveloped localities.
