Greene, once an ally of US President Donald Trump, reposted comments referring to the reported demolition of Christian sites in the Lebanese village of Yaroun.
In her remarks, she urged American Christians to speak out and called for an end to US financial support for Israel, stating that the United States “cannot remain silent” in the face of such actions.
Meanwhile, the situation in southern Lebanon has further escalated as Israeli forces carried out new military strikes in the region, according to local reports.
The National news Agency reported that Israeli troops opened fire with heavy machine guns on the towns of Ramya and Qouzah during the early hours. It added that the town of Froun also came under artillery shelling as hostilities continued in the border areas.
The developments come amid rising regional tensions, with renewed cross-border exchanges intensifying concerns over further escalation in the area.
