QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st May, 2026) On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, Provincial Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Executive Committee member Haji Mir Ali Madad Jattak paid tribute to the labour community, calling them the backbone of society’s progress, prosperity, and stability.
In his special message, Jattak emphasized that the day serves as a reminder of workers’ immense sacrifices, their struggles, and the renewed commitment to safeguarding their fundamental rights.
He highlighted the PPP’s historic role in championing labour rights, noting that the late Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the late Benazir Bhutto took landmark steps for the welfare and protection of workers.
Ali Madad Jattak added that under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the current government is also taking practical measures to ensure fair wages, safe working environments, and social security for laborers.
Acknowledging the vital role of workers in Balochistan’s development, he said the provincial government is committed to addressing their challenges, creating employment opportunities, and improving their standard of living.
The minister stressed that International Workers’ Day is a moment to pledge support for protecting labor rights, endorsing their legitimate demands, and ensuring they receive dignity and respect in society.
Haji Mir Ali Madad Jattak paid homage to all workers, declaring them the true strength of the nation. He affirmed that their prosperity is the guarantee of country’s progress.
