Punjab Governor Visits Jamia Taleem-ul-Quran


RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Apr, 2026) Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited Jamia Taleem-ul-Quran in Raja Bazaar on Monday and offered condolences over the demise of its chief administrator.

During the visit, the governor met Deputy Mohtamim Mufti Wali Ullah and discussed affairs of the institution. Teachers and students of the madrasa were also present on the occasion.

Expressing grief over the passing of Maulana Ashraf Ali Khan, the governor said the deceased was a distinguished religious scholar and teacher who devoted his life to the promotion of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

He said the services of the late cleric would be remembered for a long time and his absence would be deeply felt in religious circles.

The governor extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly to Mufti Wali Ullah, and said the Punjab government stood with them in this difficult time.

He paid tribute to the late scholar’s religious and academic contributions, terming such personalities as valuable assets of the nation.

Later, he offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for his elevated ranks and patience for the bereaved family.

The governor appreciated the educational and teaching system of the seminary, saying religious institutions play an important role in promoting moral and spiritual values in society.
